Summer Peak Practice Program

Moving through the mountains, taking it all in.

Moving through the mountains, taking it all in.

I really missed doing my Running Retreat this year. It’s one of my favorite weekends of the year, and while it’s tiring, I leave feeling inspired and refreshed. I see it as an opportunity to demystify running long distances, and teach participants how to simplify and create routines that actually fit in with all the other aspects of our lives. I also love partnering with my friend and yoga instructor Bree Dillon of Motive Yoga Co. to bring another similar approach to performance but through the yoga lens.

We’ve brainstormed working together in other capacities for years, and this year was the perfect time to offer what we distill during the retreat to a larger audience. We’re calling it the Summer Peak Practice, and are so excited. It starts June 15 and is a 10-week program that essentially is my answer to "how do you train?" Anyone who has either worked with me as a coach, attended a clinic or retreat, or has gotten a massage from me, is aware of some of my performance philosophy, but this is the first time I've put it together into a framework that will integrate the seemingly disparate ideas I frequently talk about.

Each week Bree and I will release a video on the topics of breath (first three weeks), movement (second three), mindset (third three), and then a final one to integrate the previous weeks. They'll be short prompts to give you something to think about as you run, practice on the mat, or simply go about your day. Our goal is to give you tools to simplify training, and in doing so, get more out of your time and learn how to perform better with more ease.

Ultimately we all want to do the things we love either faster, more often, or with less pain or strain. This program will help you get stronger, be more efficient with your time, and give you the tools to take your training to the next level, whatever your goal.

We start next week! Register here.
