Ah, perfect trail conditions

Ah, perfect trail conditions

This year was Momentum Northwest's second Thanksgiving training camp and, I, along with the assistant coach's girlfriend, had the task of feeding the kinds and coaches. As such, the days started out pretty early to get breakfast ready, but since the kids had clean up duty, I had a morning break before they returned from skiing to either ski, relax, or play with Fiona. I felt quite Thankful, indeed.

Fiona was a great help shopping the first time she tried the cart. The second time, she caught on to the fact that anything could be taken off the shelf and put into said cart, which was not so helpful.

I figured getting Fiona to stand on her skis would be a win, but she was a champ!

I snuck out for a ski a couple of mornings, and remembered how hard Nordic skiing is. While skiing is still slower than running (don't judge), I had a great time taking it all in. I had plenty of times to stop to take pictures as I waited for my heart to recover.

Sun, snow, and solo time: three of my favorite things.
